Updated 6 July after the Biba World Championship
2009 Championships - Who Won What Grand Prix Championship 2009 (174 Entrants) Having established herself as the UK's top female player, Rachel Rhodes now adds the 2009 Grand Prix Championship to her impressive record. Marcus Wrinch has, month-by-month, improved his game and has rightly clinched Runner-up, narrowly missing out on the #1 spot by just 2.03 points! Perhaps next year, Marcus? # Finally It's been a good year this year. Plenty of entrants and a good, close finish in both Championships. It's good to see new names on the Role of Honour and I'd like to congratulate Rachel and Paul for their #1 spots in their respective Championships and to Marcus I'd like to add my commiserations for just missing out . . . twice! Thanks to all this year's participants, and good luck to you all for 2010 when it all kicks off again in Brighton. . |

Grand Prix Championship after the Biba World Championship, July 2010 Adrian Jones (absent) drops to #3 as Peter Bennet and Nicky Check move up to #1 & #2. Incredibly, the next six positions remain unchanged and we lose Paul Barwick as he is replaced by Chris Ternel. It is getting more difficult to make dramatic changes now unless you get a big win or haven't yet got six results. Don't forget, you can earn more points at the Liverpool Open on 24/25 July. The SAC, Swiss offering 6 x 11 point matches should see some changes as more entrants reach towards the target of six awards. If you haven't booked your accommodation yet - do it now, not only can you increase your GP points, you could also win the £225 Rollover! |
* The lowest number that can be replaced is always the first one when 6 entries are shown *

Ranking Championship after the Biba World Championship, July 2010 Paul Barwick moves up to #1 knocking Marcus Wrinch down to #2. Nicky Check drops to #5 as Lawrence Powell and Phil Tutchings move up to #3 & #4. Stewart Pemberton drops one place to #6 and Jeff Braber remains static. George Hall (the new Biba World Champion) comes in at #8 with Chris Ternal entering at #10 and Myke Wignall drops to #9 as we lose Vicki Pemberton and Andy Darby. The SAC, Swiss 6 x 11 point matches will produce a few changes in these positions, and with the added bonus of the £225 rollover and a UK Finals place up for grabs, it should be a decent turnout.
